Bactria, Indo-Scythian Coinage, Azes II (c.35 B.C. - A.D. 5), (9.11 grams), billon tetradrachm, Taxila Sirsukh mint, issued 20-1 B.C., obv. mounted and armed king on horseback to r., holding whip and lance, legend around, rev. Pallas standing facing with r. arm raised, with shield and spear, (M.846b, cf.M.2352, BMC 92). Very fine, scarce.

Parthia, Kingdom of, Phraates IV, (38-2 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (14.08 grams), Seleucia mint, issued October 288 (Seleucid era) = October 24 B.C., obv. large size bare-headed bust to left with long beard, wearing diadem, wart on forehead, rev. king enthroned to right receiving palm branch from Tyche holding cornucopiae, seven line inscription, including year and month **H PS DIO[U]*, (cf.S.7466, Sellwood 51.35, cf.Shore 272). Graffiti scratches on obverse, otherwise nearly fine and rare.
