Sicily, Syracuse, (c.480-475 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (17.17 grams), obv. slow quadriga driven to right by male charioteer, Nike flying left crowning charioteer, rev. **SUPAKOSION around to right, head of Artemis-Arethusa to right, hair slightly waved and turned up behind under diadem of beads, four dolphins around, (cf.S.913, Boehringer 156 same dies (obverse 70/reverse 108 dies), SNG ANS 44 [same dies]). Scratches on the exergue line on the obverse, reverse with attractive full portrait of Artemis-Arethusa, otherwise nearly extremely fine and very rare.

Minor surface abrasion, otherwise good very fine and very rare.

Possibly has been mounted on edge, otherwise attractive and evenly worn, fine/nearly very fine and very rare.
