George V, pattern Writang: crown, 1935, by James Berry (23.38 grams). Maori chief wears longer skirt and crown is smaller than on the accepted design. The dies were engraved by P. Metcalf at the Royal Mint. Semi-matte finish, good extremely fine and of the highest rarity, the only known specimen in private hands.
