Augustus, (27 B.C. - A.D. 14), AE dupondius or as, struck in Gaul at the Nemausus mint, issued after 16-15 B.C - 10 B.C., (11.15 g), obv. head of Agrippa to left wearing rostral crown and wreath, bare head of Augustus to right back to back, above IMP below DIVI F, dotted border, rev. COL NEM on either side of palm-shoot, chained crocodile to right below, wreath above, (S.1729, RPC 523, RIC 155). Very fine and very scarce.

Good very fine, black patina with dusty beige and gray-green overtones, very light adjustment marks on reverse.
