Baudin's Exploring Expedition, 1801, in copper (38mm), issued for the corvettes Geography and Naturalist voyage to New Holland (Australia) (MH 174), by Montagny, pierced hole at top for suspension, obverse, the Consul Bonaparte's bust left, reverse, 6-lines of French text, variety with low scroll. Weak strike on some letters on right side obverse legend and doubling of image behind Consul's head, some surface marks and also minor edge necks and bumps, otherwise very fine and very scarce.
