Germany, WWII, German National Police Officers Shako, in German Police green with black leather top, band and peaks, National Police badge in bright aluminium in low relief, aluminium chin scales secured in front with brass buckle on black leather strap, National cockade in four oval strands of silver bullion cord, one black cord then one large cord of silver bullion surrounding a depressed oval of red felt, the reverse is black velvet, interior of the black peaks is dark green, sweat band beige leather from which is attached a two piece curtain interior sprung and parting in the centre also beige colour, manufacturer's circular label underneath top of the piece 'EREL' at top, 'TSCHAKO' at bottom, in centre head of soldier wearing German steel helmet at top which is 'EINGETR.WARENZEICHEN'. Extremely fine.

Germany, German National Police, Ordnungspolizei, Schutzpolizei, other ranks, visor cap in German Police green cloth with emerald green 'Waffenfabre' piping, dark brown band with high quality one piece cap badge in low relief aluminium, three piece cockade consisting of black crimped base, silver aluminium roundel with red felt centre, outline of sewing evident but sweat diamond is missing, beige sweat band is intact with markings, stamped in black on the right inside 'Po' over '1938', on the left outside the manufacturer's insignia impressed into the band with 'Deutsches Leder'. Black visor with some cracking, with dark green underside, black chin strap with cracking secured with two pearled aluminium buttons, overall excellent shape and a very fine specimen with no distortion.
