New South Wales, five shillings or holey dollar, 1813, countermarked on the inner circle of a centrally hole punched Mexico, Charles IIII, eight reales, 1799FM (Mexico City Mint) (Mira-Noble 1799/7, dies I/5:A/4; Spalding 81). A sharply struck countermark with fleur-de-lis dividing five shillings die, the host coin evenly worn and nearly very fine, the countermark virtually extremely fine, very rare as such, one of the top twenty holey dollars known with nice old cabinet tone and provenance history.
