French tricolour flag, which flew above the Vichy French barracks in Beirut and was souvenired by an Australian soldier when the city fell to the allies, printed at the top, 'Taken from Vichy French July 1941/Beirouth', and on the white centre panel 36 signatures being members of the Australian's platoon. Colour faded but all signatures clear, very fine.

German regimental beer stein, 1908-10, 2 Company of Life Guards Infantry Regiment (1st Grand Duchy of Hesse) No.115, Darmstadt, colurful patterned stein with pewter top ornately patterned and marked 'Reserve Hat Ruh', figure of soldier on top and lid-pull features the lion symbol of Hesse-Darmstadt (approx height 30.5cm). Good very fine and scarce.
