Shooting Medal: 4th Regt LLV. Hand engraved regimental crest on obverse with hallmark on rim. On the reverse at the top is engraved 'The Gift of Lieut. Ayres'. Below this is a wreath surmounted by a powder horn and inside the wreath is the inscription 'Light Infantry / Commanded by / Capt. Hodgkinson. / This Medal was presented / to Mr. James Purkis / being the Best Shot / on Novr. 24 / 1808.' On the bottom rim is engraved 'Engrav'd by J. Porter Junr 122 Fleet Street.' (53mm). Sterling silver. Very fine.

Germany, W.W.II., Luftwaffe Flight Section Non commissioned Officers visor cap (private purchase) in fine blue grey wool, Luftwaffe insignia in grey aluminium, black patent leather chin strap, visor fine leather. Brown cloth lining with full sweat diamond, makers name 'Leparo, Fabrikmarke / Leonard Paulig - Rothenburg Odar', also paper insert with original owners name 'Fahnrich Hans Hajdyn 1942'. Part pin missing from eagle insignia, otherwise good very fine.

Germany, W.W.II., German Wehrmacht (Army) Feldgendarmerie Officer visor cap, in German Army Field grey colour, with orange 'Waffenfabre' piping, olive green band with grey aluminium wreath of oakleaves, surmounted by the eagle and swastika in slightly lighter grey aluminium, with some highlighting. Inside the wreath is the National cockade in three pieces consisting of a black crimped base with grey circlet and red felt insert. Sweat diamond is missing but manufacturers insignia is present for 'Formfest'. Silver double cord chin strap secured with two pearled grey aluminium buttons. Black visor in excellent condition with beige underside, beige sweat band intact with no markings on outside, inside unknown as it is sewn to the beige interior. Slight wear evident at the uppermost front point, otherwise an overall superb specimen.

Germany, W.W.II., Waffen-SS EM's/NCO visor cap, grey trikot cloth body, black felt band for EM, grass green 'Waffenfabre' piping, two part black leather chin strap, silver washed zinc based metal cap eagle, SS deaths head cap badge (most of the original silver wash worn off the skull), black Vulcan fiber visor with brown underside, brown leather sweatband showing light use with light scuff marks on forehead arch, lower black velvet 'comfort' lining around inner edge. Inside sweatband stamped 'Berhard Pleuser / Koln.Berlin 1942', gold silk lining, no sweat diamond, makers mark of 'Pekurol, Stirndruck frei, Deutsches Reichspatent'. Very light mothing in two areas on top of cap, otherwise nearly extremely fine.

Germany, German National Police, Ordnungspolizei, Schutzpolizei, other ranks, visor cap in German Police green cloth with emerald green 'Waffenfabre' piping, dark brown band with high quality one piece cap badge in low relief aluminium. Three piece cockade consisting of black crimped base, silver aluminium roundel with red felt centre. Outline of sewing evident but sweat diamond is missing. Beige sweat band is intact with markings, stamped in black on the right inside 'Po' over '1938'. On the left outside the manufacturers insignia impressed into the band with 'Deutsches Leder'. Black visor with some cracking, with dark green underside, black chin strap with cracking secured with two pearled aluminium buttons. Overall excellent shape and a very fine specimen with no distortion.
