Government House, Hobart Town, Van Diemens Land Police Fund, Edward Foord Bromley, Treasurer of the Police Fund, Government police fund bill, fourteen pounds, 23 June 1821 (182 printed), No.185, to E.F. Bromley, hand signed by Lt. Governor William Sorell, black on white, watermarked paper with crude Britannia with shield on waves in oval on side, with additional four horizontal lines. Extensive paper toning particularly on the reverse, otherwise nearly very fine and extremely rare, being on of only two known in private hands.

Probably not released into circulation. and in superb condition, in far better than average condition, nearly extremely fine and very rare, probably unique with full counterfoil.

The Commercial Bank of Tasmania Limited, Lauceston, Tasmania, one pound, dated 1 Januar 1910 (date fully printed as January 190-), numbered C232119, signed, but of uncertain signatures for Manager and countersignature, on paper, probably on watermarked paper, imprint of 'Perkins Bacon & Co, Ld London Patent Hardened Steel Plate', vignette on upper left of woman holding cornucopiae and anchor, and ornamental oval tablet with 'ONE' on upper right and 'ONE POUND' in rectangular block lower left, all within rectangular ornate spiral border, 'LAUNCESTON' on two sides, states below, 'I Promise to pay the Bearer on Demand the Sum of ONE POUND Sterling Value received. For the Commercial Bank of Tasmania Limited', with brown 'ONE' across centre within three geometric circles, on back 'ONE' in centre in block, geometric ovals in corner, brown and blue on white/black on white (MVR type 2c, comments on bank and type p.138-141, similar issued note illustrated Fig.148, p.141. a cancelled £20, and of type as superscribed note Fig.276). Folds and creases, minor holes along creases, slightly soiled and worn on front and back, otherwise fine and excessivley rare, the type from Launceston probably unique.

The Royal Bank of Australia, five pounds, Lauceston, not dated (18 printed), proof, not signed, printed on unwatermarked paper, with imprint on centre of bottom 'Perkins Bacon & Petch London, Patent Hardened Steel Plate', with vignette of modified Royal Arms with supporters and St Andrew, value within oval left and right and in decorative floral border to left, all within rectangular spiral border, states on front of note 'Promise to pay the Bearer on demand at Launceston FIVE POUNDS sterling', blue on white (MVR p.210-12 on bank, similar one pound note illustrated as Fig 218 on p.210). Folds and creases, with unobtrusive rust holes lower left, a little aging tone, some ink smudging on the back, otherwise nearly very fine and very rare, especially for this city.
