First three medals unnamed, last two impressed. $$ Ord Smn Bailey was gun layer in B Turret H.M.A.S. Sydney during the Bartolomeo Colleoni action. Lieutenant Bailey was on loan to the Royal Navy from 24Oct1944 for service in British submarines, he spent the remainder of the war patrolling the North Sea in H.M.Submarine Ultor, and demobilised at H.M.A.S. Rushcutter 31Jan1946. An important and interesting group of medals for the famous H.M.A.S. Sydney - Bartolomeo Colleoni in the Mediterranean Sea 19Jul1940. Together with H.M.A.S. Sydney - Bartolomeo Colleoni medal in silver (58mm), edge engraved 'F.J.Bailey Ord Smn O.N.S.3511'., certificates, photographs and research.
