Sovereign case, in 9 carat gold by M & L (Birmingham 1898) outer case with ornate chasing of leaf (hand engraved) pattern, shield inscribed 'Presented to;H.S. Skyring/By/Townsville Friends/13.7.1903' probably a return from the Boer War gift. Very fine and rare.
