Edward VIII, unofficial pattern crowns, dies and punches as produced by John Pinches, London for the dealer Geoffrey Hearn in the 1950's. Australia reverse die and punch Bermuda reverse punch Ceylon reverse die and punch Great Britain - reverse die and punch. New Zealand - reverse punch Edward VIII portrait - obverse die and punch. This series of unofficial patterns first appeared on the market in the early 1950s and has proved to be very popular necessitating the production of base metal institutions in recent years. Sold with a letter dated 2 June 1977 from the Franklin Mint detailing the delivery of the dies and punches to Mr Hearn. A unique and normally unobtainable collection. Uncirculated (10).
