Vintage Candle Stick Holder, for three candles, in brass (approx size 23.5x22cm); three decorative stylized swans with long necks in brass (approx 14cm high); unidentified brass plunger on a brass base that appears to be Asian, possibly Malaya; Bushells Blue Label Tea tin being a Souvenir tin of the Opening of the First Federal Parliament. All brass items need cleaning and the tin is heavily oxidized, otherwise good - very fine. (6)

Australian Military Forces, Australian Military Forces, white ceramic glazed cheese dish and cover with handle, from an Army mess, made by Maddock, England (marked Vitreous Hotel Ware), with a blue coloured Rising Sun badge (QC) painted on the dish and on the cover before glazing; small coffee cup and saucer, on one side of the cup are the crossed flags of Great Britain and Belgium and on the other side are the crossed flags of France and Serbia, and in the centre is a warship and below is the legend, "Might In The Right Cause Shall Prevail/European War" and on the saucer is the same warship image and legend (some faded), and with golden edge on the lip of the cup and the saucer, both marked on the base, "Jackson & Gosling/Grosvenor China/England/Reg No 643424". Very fine - extremely fine. (4 pieces)

Gun powder measure, in brass for reloading a cartridge, on the side is a measuring device marked, "5 and 4 ½ and 3 ½ and Drs/Powder", made by G&J.W.Hawksley, handle removed; unidentified belt worn silver device (possibly measuring); letter opener with decorative brass handle, the blade marked, "PARIS". Fine - very fine. (3)

Australian Light Horse, British 1908 Pattern cavalry sword, made in Enfield in October 1913, moulded rubber checkered pattern handle and metal guard, metal scabbard with double loop suspension. Vendor's note states that it is in first class condition but unfortunately we have not been able to draw sword out of scabbard.

British, Elizabeth II 1897 pattern infantry officer's sword with fullered decorated blade (approx 81.5cm) including Elizabeth II coat of arms, marked in ricasso area with British arms and "By Appointment/Her Majesties'/Queen/Elizabeth II/Sword Cutlers/Wilkinson/Sword/Ltd/Made In/England" and on the other side in the ricasso is a Proved mark, chromed voided decorated guard with a Queen's crown above EIIR, sharkskin grip on handle, with leather scabbard with strap to attach to a belt, also another strap with pommel attached to handle. Toning and some oxidation to blade, otherwise fine.

Wear to blade, otherwise fine.

British/Australian Navy Officer's sword, (QC), fullered steel blade (approx 80cm) etched with elaborate pattern and with a Proved mark in ricasso, with number 15143 on back of blade near ricasso, navy badge on guard (QC) and with locking device for securing to scabbard, all sword and leather scabbard fittings in brass, scabbard with two suspension rings, sharkskin grip on handle and lion's head pommel. Top brass fitting on scabbard is slightly loose, discolouration on blade and toned handle, otherwise fine.

British Army Officer's sword (KC), fullered steel blade (approx 84cm) etched with elaborate pattern including King George V pattern, with a Proved mark in ricasso on one side and on the other side is the maker's name, Armfield's Ltd, Birmingham, crowned GVR on voided metal guard, sharkskin grip on handle, leather scabbard with leather belt and shoulder belt and with leather strap with leather pommel at end, on each belt is written, "A.G.Lawson". Discolouration on blade and toned handle and guard, otherwise fine.

Discolouration on blade and toned handle and guard, some edge nicks on blade and dents in scabbard, otherwise fine.

British, sword with a proved mark with the initials HW (Henry Wilkinson), fullered decorated blade (approx 89cm), on the back of the blade is "London Made" and the number 47294, with white metal decorated guard and a material wrapped handle, with leather covered metal scabbard with strap for wearing. Blade and guard with oxidation, otherwise fine.

British, sword by Wilkinson, Pall Mall, features a fullered blade (approx 88cm), various markings in the ricasso area, with full brown painted guard, with a patterned plastic handle, with a steel scabbard with two suspension rings, the scabbard is the same colour as the guard. The blade with several oxidation spots, otherwise very fine.

Cutlass, unidentified origin, features a long curved fullered blade (approx 82cm ignoring curve), the back of the blade near ricasso is marked, "S.K 512", with metal guard and ringed timber handle, the cross guard markings difficult to read but appear to be, " I.M.X 3.94. 512 C1", with metal scabbard with two suspension rings, the base of the scabbard marked, "3D 215" and the top marked, "LVI 40/62/A.M.XIV.3/9 K XIV". Oxidation on scabbard and guard and wear to handle, blade in excellent condition except for a small nick, otherwise fine.

Imperial Germany, Prussia, 1st Grand Ducal Hessian Guard Dragoon Regiment No. 23 sword, with straight fullered blade (approx 84cm long), intricately patterned on both sides, voided metal guard featuring crowned advancing lion with sword, with black patterned grip, ricasso with two images and the initials W K & C (Weyersberg, Kirschbaum & Cie) of Solingen, with polished metal scabbard with a belt suspension ring and with attached leather strap with attached grey pommel. With oxidation on most parts and discolouration of pommel and wear to strap, otherwise very good.

Germany, vintage cavalry sword, fullered blade (approx 71cm), marked in gold lettering on one side, "GENZCEMHTN ZHYNLE" and impressed in the ricasso, "WIVRSHFKG/R 4W-8", brass decorated voided guard featuring flowers and coiled rope design, sharkskin grip on handle, with leather-like metal scabbard with two suspension rings attached to decorative fittings. Very fine.

Germany, military sword with long fullered blade (approx 87mm), marked in ricasso, "(crowned) BR/92 and /86 and Weyersberg Kirschbaum & Co, Solingen" and on the other side, "(upright arrow over) WD and Y.C and (crowned) S over12 over X", with metal guard and rubber overlaid handle, with metal scabbard with suspension ring at each side of the top section. Apart from the blade all other metal is affected by oxidation, otherwise good, the blade very fine.

Sword, unidentified but possibly Polish, features a decorated fullered blade (approx 79cm), with a voided chromed metal guard featuring a crowned eagle with wings outstretched holding a sword and with a heart shaped shield in the centre of its body, the handle appears to be ringed plastic, with metal scabbard with two suspension rings. The scabbard with a few dents and oxidation, the blade with a few dark toning areas particularly near tip, otherwise very good.

Military Fire Axe, with an upright arrow and number 31254 on one side and the maker's name, Gilpin on the other side, on the rubber handle is marked, "Tested 20,000 Volts" on one side and "No 125" on the other side, stored in a leather holder with two belt fittings on the reverse and on the front is an illegible name and the number 1120 below. Fine.

USA, Knights of Pythias, sword by E.A.Armstrong, Detroit, Mich., multi decorated blade (approx 71cm), with name of recipient on blade, "C.C.Taylor", with double Phoenix crossguard with letters U R (Uniformed Rank), the reverse has the letters, "FCB" (Friendship, Charity and Benevolence), the handle is wire wrapped leather covered timber and the pommel is a knight's head, with steel scabbard with brass fittings including three suspension rings. Blade with some small edge nicks and discoloration and scabbard also with some discolouration, otherwise fine.

World War I, trench coin art, France, one franc, reverse smoothed, 'N.M Somme 1916' inside a heart, all within ornate engraving, pierced twice and set on a bracelet; another similar, 'Battle of Somme 1916' in four lines, pierced four times for suspension; 'France 1918' engraved on smoothed reverse of Napoleon III one franc; England, penny, 1902, bust with crown engraved, halfpenny, 1906, obverse altered with a hat, cigar, beard etc; Australia, penny, 1913, reverse smoothed and engraved, 'To Elsie from Cyril' in four lines, 'May 18th 1913' around; Melbourne, Thomas Stokes, penny token, 1862, struck by shrapnel. Fine - very fine. (7)

Trench Art, bullet cigarette lighter, with removable cartridge to expose wick and removable base to insert lighter fluid, with clip holder marked Inoxorom; also a factory made black cigarette case with gold coloured fittings and with a gilt stamp on the front "(KC) British Commonwealth Forces", inside is marked "K24"; Waterproof Match Safe, a pocket-sized metal container with screw top design for storing matches, stamped on the base, "Marble's/Gladstone,/Mich. U.S.A./Pat'd 1900" (2); Lytic Catalytic lighter, c1910, with mechanism for holding wire and platinum balls, by "C.E.Marshall,W'pton Ltd, England". Cigarette case is hard to open and has underlying oxidation on the outside, otherwise fine - very fine. (5)

Trench Art, cigarette case in nickel by Rothmans, fitted on the front of the lid is a wounded in action silver badge (GRI), inscribed on the inside of the front lid, "1036201./W.O. Cl.1. E.S.M./Leonard A.Moore./Royal Artillery." Foxing marks on inside, otherwise very fine.

Trench Art, ashtray featuring a map of Australia cast in white metal with a kangaroo standing at the base of Victoria, mounted at the Darwin end on a curved metal rod is a Supermarine Spitfire; also another ashtray featuring a map of Australia cast in white metal with a kangaroo standing at the base of Western Australia and with a straight rod mounted in the centre of Australia and attached to this is a Vampire, and at the Darwin end is a mounted cigarette holder. Both items with some oxidation, otherwise fine. (2)

Trench Art, ashtray featuring a base of a 25 PR brass shell casing dated 1942, with three slots for resting a cigarette and with a central screw-in rod on which is mounted a brass Hawker Hurricane aircraft;; also another circular ashtray in white metal coated bronze with three slots for resting a cigarette and with a curved rod on one side mounted with what looks like a white metal coated bronze Douglas Scout-bomber, on the base is scratched, "Jean Archer/Tas/1941". The second aircraft is missing its propeller and has a piece of white metal coating missing from the top of one wing, otherwise fine. (2)
