Australian Army sewing kit, nicknamed 'The Housewife', in fold-out khaki cloth, includes needles on woollen fold-over flap and loose cotton thread in one pocket, penned in ink on the lower pouch, 'T103089/W Guest'; trench art envelope opener, made of aluminium (possibly from aircraft wreckage), blade inscribed on one side with palm trees on dunes and the words, 'New Guinea/1943-44'; the lid of a Princess Mary's Christmas 1914 gift tin in brass; aluminium dog tag, impressed, 'C.OF.E./H.1067./STD./R.V.WEBB.'; also War Medal 1939-45, impressed naming to B.2617. W.R.A.Parker. No ribbon on the last item, otherwise good - very fine. (5)

Germany, early type WWI dog tag on large oval disc in steel (69x54mm), with two pierced holes at top edge for wearing, reverse plain, obverse impressed, 'Wilh. Selzner/Hannover./23.7.87./Ers. Batl. France, Lebel Pattern M1886/93/16 cruciform bayonet in steel (blade 34cm), marked on one side, 'C & P', with brass grip and chequered press-catch, bottom edge of steel guard stamped, '373017', with black steel scabbard also stamped, '373017', with incuse letter 'R' on guard and some other markings around the top of the scabbard. Very fine.

World helmets, British Brodie MkII type helmet with red and white diagonal stripes on a dark blue circular badge painted at front, with liner, this loose, and chin strap, rivet on one side missing and knob of top rivet missing; unidentified, possibly Canadian WWII Brodie MkII type helmet with camouflage netting (one tear and top rivet missing head), on one side is painted a red W (Warden?) on a base line, with liner and chin strap, under back rim printed in white paint is the name BALN; unidentified but European style with three rivets, one at each side and one at back, with liner and chin strap, logo on liner is an indecipherable figure inside a cog wheel; North Vietnam khaki pith helmet with fitted Officer's hat badge, with band part of liner only and with chin strap, inside with affixed paper label of maker reading 'Tong Cuc Hau Can/Cuc Quan (? Last word under metal air fitting but probably Nhu)' (General Department of Needs/Military Department). The last with cracks to underside of brim, other defects as indicated, otherwise fine - very fine. (4)

(covered by bracket)941; USA, helmet with camouflage cover, removable internal helmet, this with liner and chin strap, no maker's stamp visible; another helmet with desert camouflage cover, removable internal helmet, this with liner and new chin strap, liner stamped with CAPAC logo, above the logo 35 and in the lower angles of the logo 5/1, inside removable helmet is a blackened section and printed on this is, 'William W. Hinds/12456162'; another helmet covered in chicken wire bound hessian, with liner and chin strap. The first with loose top cushioning piece in the internal section and a few spots of light oxidation, on the outside are two gum residue spots to remove, otherwise probably never worn, the rest fine to very fine. Cpl R K Cashman 3RAR awarded MM for Korea related items, a large and comprehensive collection of photos, documents, newspaper cuttings, magazines and books, all featuring Ron Cashman, and the published book titled, 'Keep Off The Skyline, The Story of Ron Cashman and the Diggers in Korea', by Peter Thompson and Robert Macklin, and autographed by Ron Cashman, also a Korean War documentary computer disk, cased binoculars as well as a large variety of related badges and pins and challenge coins, one of these from 2nd Infantry Division and inscribed, 'Mr. Cashman', also a gilt bullion embroidered Presidential Unit Citation, a Returned from Active Service badge, reverse numbered A466895, Infantry Combat badges (3), Royal Australian Regiment hat badge (QC), TPI badge (KC), reverse numbered 18809 NSW, and a miniature Republic of Korea War Service Medal (uniface).
