Architects Medallion, New South Wales Board of Architecture, undated, in bronze (64mm), by G.Rayner Hoff. 1927, obverse, mostly naked youth holding a torch and behind at his side and behind is an ancient time learned man (perhaps Archimedes) wearing cap and robes, around the edge the legend, 'To You From Failing Hands We Throw The Torch Be Yours To Hold It High' (taken from John McCrae's WWI poem, In Flanders Field), reverse, logo of the Board with a king's crown, unnamed. With small edge bump at bottom of obverse, good very fine.
