EDWARD VIII, 1937, set of four privately issued pattern/proof Great Britain four shillings in (.925) silver, copper, Barton's metal and golden alloy. Obverse features uncrowned head of King sculpted by Donald R. Golding which is based on a combination of the 1936 submitted designs by McMillan and Paget. Reverse features the cruciform shields of the 1887-1892 coinage. Plain edge. One of only 700 sets issued. (4)
