Egypt, Alexandria, Tranquillina wife of Gordian III, (A.D. 238-244), billon tetradrachm, year 5 = A.D. 241-242, (13.124 grams), obv. diademed and draped bust of Tranquillina to right, around CAB TRANKV**LLEINA* CEB, rev. Eagle standing left head to right, holding wreath in beak, across L E, (cf.S.3868, SNG Cop. 698, Milne 3432, Koln 2681). Good very fine and rare.
