EGYPT, Kingdom of, Ptolemy I, (323-283 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, issued 305-283 B.C., (14.158 grams), Alexandria mint, obv. diademed head of Ptolemy I to right, with aegis, rev. eagle to left with closed wings, standing on thunderbolt, in front P over monogram **PAR*, around **BASILEW[S] PTOLEMAIOU*, (S.7762, Sv. 255, SNG Cop. 70-1). Grey and gold tone, minor graffito, nearly extremely fine and scarce in this condition.
