Sicily, Syracuse, (275-215 B.C.), silver sixteen litrai, (13.09 grams), obv. diademed and veiled head to left of Philistis, wife of Hieron, torch behind, rev. galloping quadriga driven to right, by Nike, above **BASILISSA[S]*, below **FILISTIDOS*, E below, (BMC 545, S.988, SNG ANS 883-888 [same obverse die as 886]). Full flan, light grey toning, superb reverse, extremely fine.
