SYRIA, Kingdom of, Demetrius I, (162-155 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (16.11 grams), Antioch mint, issued period 162-156 B.C., obv. diademed head of Demetrius to right within laurel wreath border, rev. Tyche seated to left with leg of throne a winged monster, holds sceptre and cornucopiae, to right **BASILEWS, to left **DHMH RIOU, A over **P monogram to left, (S.7014, SMA Newell 95, BMC 30). Some porosity, otherwise very fine, scarce.
