Ceylon, (Sri Lanka), Anonymous issue, gold aka or eighth Kahavanu, or eighth gold stater, 10th century A.D., (0.510 grams), Codrington type III, 'Jessamine and flower' series, (M.828-830, Cod. 18.(2).i, p.62, Pl.III, 67), others copper kahavanunu (3) of Queen Lilavati (1197-1200, 1209-1211); Sahasa Malla (1200-1202); Parakramma Bahu II (1236-1271) (M.839, 840, 845) and a Pandyan bronze, bull series, (823-943), (M.820-823). First off centred on the obverse, very fine and rare, others very fine or better. (5)

Ex. T.V. Holland Collection, first from Dr.R.van Slageron, Arnhem, c.1970's, (200 Guilders) with ticket; last coin with ticket and noted as from Mammar District.
