Henry III, (1216-1272), silver penny, long cross issue, class 3b, issued 1248-1250, LVC/AS O/N N/ORh, Northampton mint, (S.1363, N.987). Attractive grey tone, good very fine and scarce.
Ex. Richard Cyril Lockett collection with his ticket (3/-) and illustrated on supplementary plate 76 (row 10 no 3), Glendining's June 6-9 1955 (lot 1203 part) and with Dave Hess, Baton Rouge Louisiana envelope.
