EDWARD VIII, 1937, set of four privately issued Canada pattern/proof dollars, struck in (.925) silver, copper, Barton's metal, and golden alloy. Obverse bare headed effigy, sculpted by Donald R. Golder, based on a combination of the 1936 portraits submitted by McMillan and Paget. The reverse motif is similar to the currency design of the George VI series. Plain edge. One of only 700 sets issued. (4)
