Egypt, Kingdom of, Ptolemy I, (323-283 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, issued 305-283 B.C., (14.290 grams), Alexandria mint, obv. diademed head of Ptolemy I to right, with aegis, **D* behind, rev. eagle to left with closed wings, standing on thunderbolt, in front P over monogram **PAR*, around **BASILEWS PTOLEMAI[OU]*, (S.7762, Sv. 255, SNG Cop. 70-1). Extremely fine and rare in this condition.
