Thrace, Kingdom of, Lysimachus, (323-281 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (16.33 grams), Byzantium mint, late style of that issued c.2nd-1st century B.C., obv. head of Alexander to right, with diadem and horn of Ammon, rev. Athena enthroned to left, supporting Nike, spear behind, monogram of H**DR left, trident below, to right **BASILEWS to left **LUSIMACOU, (cf.S.6816, Thompson -, Muller 155ff). Good very fine and a very scarce.
