JULIA SOAEMIAS, (mother of Elagabalus), (A.D. 218-222), silver denarius, Rome mint, (3.926 grams), obv. draped bust of Julia Soaemias to right, around IVLIA SOAEMIAS AVG, rev. VENVS CAELESTIS Venus seated to left holding apple and sceptre, child standing before her, (S.2170, RIC 243, RSC 14, BMC 55-60). Good very fine and scarce.
