ANTONINUS PIUS, (A.D. 138-161), AE sestertius, (21.24 grams), Rome mint, issued A.D. 158-9, obv. laureate head of Antoninus Pius to right, around ANTONINVS AVG PIVS P P TR P XXII, rev. VOTA SVSCE PTA DEC III, and S C across field, COS IIII in exergue, Antoninus Pius standing left, sacrificing with patera over tripod, (S.-, RIC 1010, C.1124). Even dark brown patina, attractive very fine, scarce.
