HADRIAN, (A.D. 117-138), silver denarius, issued 125-132, Rome mint, (3.350 grams), obv. laureate bust to right of Hadrian draped and cuirassed, around HADRIANVS AVGVSTVS P P, rev. COS III around, Aequitas standing to left holding scales and cornucopiae, (S.-, cf.RIC 339, RSC 383a). Very fine or better, a rare variant.
An interesting variant with Hadrian's right shoulder forward, only known from a published example in the museum at Sofia in Bulgaria.
