C. VALERIUS FLACCUS, (140 B.C.), silver denarius, Rome mint, (3.722 grams), obv. Roma helmeted head right, XVI behind, rev. Victory in biga, holding whip, FLAC above, C.VAL.C.F. monogram below, ROMA in exergue, (S.103 [£60 VF], Cr.228/1, Syd.441). Even grey patina, nearly extremely fine/very fine and a very rare type.

Ex Frederick Knobloch, New York, August 13, 1956. Only 7 obverse dies used for this coinage according to Crawford.
