Mexico, Philip IV (1621-1665), Cob eight reales c.1620, Mexico mint, assayer D. (CC type 92, 369; Cb.647var. ;Yr.511). Flatly struck, very good.
Ex, wreck of the pirate ship from the Lucayan Beach Pirate Treasure Trove of 1628 with Spink & Son Ltd. certificate. To this date this is the only authentic pirate ship that has yielded treasure that is clearly identified.
