A most important sale which includes the Arthur Houghton collection of Seleucid coinage making this sale the most important sale probably ever held featuring Seleucid coins (all are in ACNAC Houghton). Many of the lots have detailed descriptions and the catalogue written by Cathy Lorber makes this an indispensible reference of the very best Seleucid coins that have come down to us today. This sale XVIII was probably the best of all the NFA sales and the one most desired for the quality and rarity of the coins selected. The collection of almost 1000 coins realised over US $4,000,000.
