Syria, Kingdom of, Philip I Philadelphus, (89-83 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (15.4 grams), Antioch mint, obv. diademed head of Philip I to right, fillet border, rev. Zeus seated left on throne, holds Nike with wreath in outstretched hand, all within laurel wreath, on right, **[B]ASILE[WS] FILIPPOU*, and to left **EPIFANOUS FILADELFOU*, in exergue M, (cf.S.7196, Newell SMA 446). Porosity, otherwise nearly very fine.
