Macedon, Kingdom of, Alexander III, (336-323 B.C.), silver drachm, (4.1 grams), Colophon mint, issued c.319-310 B.C., obv. head of Herakles to right wearing lion skin with dotted border, rev. Zeus seated on throne to left, eagle in outstretched hand, EK monogram below throne, **SW* to left, to right **[A]LEXANDR[OU]*, (cf.S.6730, Price 1794, BMC 1794a-c, M.1605, SNG Cop. 917). Very fine.
