Bank of England, one shilling and sixpence (or eighteenpence) token, 1812 a proof struck in platinum (ESC 974). Struck like a specimen rather than a brilliant and frosted proof, FDC and exceedingly rare.
Ex Edwards Metcalf (lot ) Collection and Spink Australia Sale. This is probably the Montagu piece.
