Description
Dublin, Hibernian Mining Co. Irish made halfpennies of 1793 and 1794 by Mossop et al, 1793 (D&H 235,236 (2), 239, 241, 242, 243, 244 struck like a proof traces of mint red (illustrated), another silver plated issued as a specimen, 245, 246 (2) (Mossop very clear on this die) 247 (2, one as struck patinated poor flan and uneven strike), 25) 1794 (D&H 251, 252 (2), 253, 254(2), 255 illustrated) 256 (3), 257, 258, 260 as struck patinated die partly defaced or possibly an overstrike; 267 (2, the Dublina piece a superb strike, patinated, probably the finest known) poor quality imitation (268 (2)). A Comprehensive group including two superb examples, one of each type, several very rare or extremely rare, fair-nearly uncirculated. (32)
