Commodus, (A.D. 177-192), AE as, Rome mint, issued A.D. 192, (10.9 grams), obv. head of Commodus to right wearing lion skin, around L AEL AVREL COMM AVG P FEL, rev. in four lines HERCVL ROMAN AVGV SC, club in laurel wreath, (S.1659, RIC 644, C.193, BMC 722). Attractive green patina, strong portrait, good very fine and rare.
