Syria, Kingdom of, Antiochus I, (280-261 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (17.00 grams), Series II group B, Seleucia on Tigris mint, issued 274-270 B.C., obv. diademed head of Antiochus I to right, dotted border, rev. Apollo seated left on omphalos, holding arrow and bow, on right, **BASILEWS and to left **ANTIOXOU, to left and right monograms, (cf.S.6866, Newell ESM 152, Pozzi sale 2933). Nearly extremely fine and rare.
