Macedon, Kingdom of, Alexander III, (336-323 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (16.91 grams), Ake mint, issued 323-2 B.C., obv. head of Herakles to right wearing lion skin with dotted border, rev. Zeus seated on throne to left, eagle in outstretched hand, date to left = year 24, to right **ALEXANDR[OU], (cf.S.6713, Price 3260, BMC 3260a-b [same obverse die], cf.M.1453, Demanhur 3954-3960). Off centred on the obverse, toned very fine/good fine.
