Macedon, Kingdom of, Alexander III, (336-323 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (16.98 grams), Myriandrus mint, issued c.325-323 B.C., obv. head of Herakles to right wearing lion skin with dotted border, rev. Zeus seated on throne to left, eagle in outstretched hand, OI**D* monogram over globule over club in wreath to left, MI monogram under throne, to right **ALEXANDROU*, (cf.S.6713, Price 3231A, Demanhur 2864-8, Newell 'Myriandros' 28). Some minor surface scratches otherwise good fine/very fine, scarce.
