Macedon, Kingdom of, Alexander III, (336-323 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (17.1 grams), 'Amphipolis mint, issued 323-320 B..C., obv. head of Herakles to right wearing lion skin with dotted border, rev. Zeus seated on throne to left, eagle in outstretched hand, cornucopiae to left, to right **ALEXANDROU, (cf.S.6713, Price 104, BMC 104a-f, M.368). Bright well centred on obverse, off centred on the reverse, good very fine.
