Group of Four to Nurse: 1939-45 Star; Pacific Star; War Medal 1939-45; Australia Service Medal 1939-45. QFX46893 K.I.Hansen. All medals impressed. Display mounted, toning on first two medals and contact marks on last two medals, otherwise nearly extremely fine.

Kate Isobel Hansen, nurse, born 11Nov1909 at Charters Towers, Qld; Enl.10Sep1941 in CMF at Brisbane, Qld and to Sister II; TOS 112AGH 10Sep1941; to Sister I 10Sep1942; Vol for AIF 16Jan1943; Appt'd Lieut 23Mar1943; to 47Aust Camp Hosp 14Jul1943; Emb.12Aug1943 to Port Moresby and served in 47 ACH and 112 AGH; RTA 01Jul1944; various postings; Disch.08Nov1945; Kate Clews (nee Hansen) completed a statutory declaration in 1991 claiming her service medals had been lost when moving but presumably they were found because there is no mention in her Service File of replacements being issued.
