DCM: LG: 03Jun1919, COAG: 11Mar1920 'For specially good work at Afuleh during the recent operations in collecting bridging material and in the actual construction of the bridge over the Jordan at Benat Yukab on the morning of the 26th September 1918. Under fire he has always behaved with gallantry and shown an utter contempt of danger.'
