Justin I and Justinian I (527), AE follis, Constantinople Mint. issued 4 April - 1 August 527 A.D., (14.47 g), obv. Diademed bust cuirassed with paludamentum of Justin I, to right, around [DN] IVS[TIN E I]VSTIN[IAN P AVC, rev. Large M, cross above, stars 6 long points to left and right, cross above right, below officinae E, in exergue CON, (S.125, DOC [11aa], W.-, R.-, H.N4 [Vol.I notes E as a hybrid with similar obverse dies], T.-, BNP.-). Nearly fine and excessively rare.

Ex Noble Numismatics Sale 117 (lot 4957 part). Previously from Dr. Flynn Collection, coming from Baldwin's with ticket price of ?25. Ticket notes the coin from the R.N.Bridge Collection. Lot comes with detailed collector ticket in a flip.
Clearly an issue as a hybrid of both joint rulers, using a reverse with two stars introduced at the beginning of the reign of Justinian I. the joint rulers using a reverse with one star and cross introduced in the reign of Justin I. This specimen from the similar obverse die as the Hahn illustrated specimen.
