Severus Alexander, (A.D.222-235), silver denarius, issued 231, Rome Mint, (2.89 g), obv. laureate bust to right, draped, around IMP ALEXANDER PIVS AVG, rev. PROVIDENTIA AVG, Annona standing to left, holding corn ears and anchor, modius at feet, (S.7923, RIC 252, RSC 508a). As struck with mint bloom, good extremely fine, scarce as such.
