Vespasian, (69-79 A.D.), silver denarius, (3.17 g.), Rome Mint, issued 70 A.D., obv. IMP CAESAR VESPASIANVS AVG around, laureate head to right of Vespasian, rev. COSITER [TR POT], Mars naked except for cloak walking right, holding spear in right hand and aquila, (cf.S.2284, RIC II 23, BMC 11, BN 12, RSC 87). Toned, very fine, rare.
