Syria, Kingdom of, Antiochos IV, (175-164 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (15.91 g), Series 3, Antioch on the Orontes Mint, issued 168-164 B.C., obv. diademed head of Antiochus IV to right, dotted border, rev. Zeus seated left on throne, holding Nike, on right, **BASILEOS ANTIOXOU*, to left **QEOU EPIFANOUS, in exergue NIKHFOROU*, (cf.S.6976-7, SC 1400.c, Morkholm 16 [(A31-P-], SMA 67, HGC 9, 620a). Light patination, nearly very fine, a variety type.
