Syria, Kingdom of, Seleucos I, (312-280 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (17.05 g), Ecbatana Mint workshop issued c.295-290 B.C., obv. head of Herakles to right wearing lion skin with dotted border, rev. Zeus seated on throne to left, eagle in outstretched hand, monogram to left under anchor with flukes upward, to right **SELEUKOU*, in exergue **BASILEWS*, (cf.S.6831, SC 204.8b, Newell ESM 506, cf.Meydancikkale CH VIII, 308, Qazvin [ICGH 1796 = CH I, 58), HGC 9, 12ki). Lightly toned, very fine, and very scarce.
