Cilicia, Soloi, (c.410-380 B.C.), silver stater, (8.54 g), obv. head of Athena wearing crested Athenian helmet to right, ornamented with a griffin rushing right on the bowl, dotted border, rev. bunch of grapes on a short stalk, all within incuse diamond area with an internal dotted border, around and outside flat area, **SOLI*, (S.5606, Casabonne type 4, Babelon Traite 1419 = De Luynes 2783, BMC 15, cf.SNG France II, 168 [same obverse die], cf.SNG Von Aulock 5864). Toned with a particularly nice reverse, good very fine/extremely fine and very rare.

Ex Ponterio & Associats Sale #121 (lot 0156), August 8 2002. Only one example from Coin Archives for same dies (Nomos Obolos 20 [lot 224]. A simiar example in our Sale 130 (lot 4266) realised $1100 (July 2022).
