Peloponnesos, Achaia, Achaian League, Megalopolis, (c.175-168 B.C.), silver triobol or hemidrachm (15mm, 2.36 g), obv. laureate head of Zeus right, rev. Achaian League XA monogram in laurel wreath, above M, below syrinx B, to left and right E and **L*, all within wreath, (S.3000, Benner 4, BCD Peloponnesos 1543.2, Clerk 209, HGC 5, 952 [R1]). Old cabinet patination, very fine and rare, with descriptive ticket in a 2x2 flip.

Ex Spink & Son, London, December 18, 1992 as a private purchase, coming from the Diakofto Hoard (IGCH 262).
